Sheriff Ray Owens (Arnold Schwarzenegger) rules the roost in the small, sleepy town of Sommerton Junction after leaving his former LAPD position in disgrace and humiliation due to a bungled operation that left his partner crippled. But, Owens finds himself enveloped in gang violence when a group of the FBI's most wanted drug lord and his henchmen hurtle towards Sommerton in a hijacked FBI vehicle. Although Owens is unwilling to embrace his former hard hitting ways, he reluctantly agrees for one last stand.
